Hike-a-Thon

Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity! The Council needs your support!

Your Scouting unit is cordially invited and encouraged to participate in the Gateway Area Council’s second annual Hike-a-Thon, Saturday, June 2nd, 2012.
This event will be a fantastic opportunity for your Scouts to raise significant funds to help support their camping experiences throughout the year as well as support camp operations in the Council. Pledges for the event will be gathered by the participating youth. Half of the proceeds will go to Camp Decorah and the other half will go to the boy or the unit. Commission checks will be issued to Registered unit leaders in late July. Furthermore, by participating in the Hike-a-Thon, your unit can join in on the FUN ACTION-PACKED CELEBRATION at Camp Decorah following the Hike!  The Leader’s Guide is available online.

We hope you will join in the efforts to make this event a huge success. Your unit leader should submit the Unit Commitment Form and return it to your District Executive, District Hike-a-Thon Chair, or the Council Office at gacshop@gatewayareacouncil.org
