Cub Scout Events

Cub Scouts is all about having fun! Join in these great events for adventures and learning all year. Events range from single-day activities to week-long camping adventures. The right event for your Scouts is here, just find it! Each event is sponsored by the Gateway Area Council and is Nationally Accredited by the Boy Scouts of America. Accredited camps go through a process of inspection and program innovation that leads to great events year after year. The calendar council can be seen here.

Overnight Programs

Back to School=Back to Camping! Join other Scouting families in a relaxed, overnight campout at Camp Decorah. Always free for brand new Scouts, this event is a great way to see Camp Decorah before the Spook-O-Ree. Sept. 21-22, 2018

The largest event in the Gateway Area Council, the Spook-O-Ree is a favorite of many. An evening of spooky stories, hayrides, and carnival games leads to a morning of camp activities and a costume contest. Sign up early to reserve a spot in the warm cabins, or rough it in a tent with your den. Spook-O-Ree is can’t miss! Oct. 20-22, 2017

A lock-in event for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Alive at the Y! is a event like no other: NO QUIET TIME, NO SLEEPING, NON-STOP ACTION! At the YMCA we spend time in the pool, in the gym, and enjoying healthy snacks. Dec. 7-8, 2018

Explore the La Crosse Children’s Museum and enjoy programs put on by their staff. This years theme is “Grossology”! Camp out in a firetruck, safari, or bank and check out the new climbing structure! Jan. 19 & 20, 2018

Just like the Boy Scouts, the Cub Camporee offers a taste of Camp Decorah and its many programs. Explore Camp Decorah at the shooting range, fishing pond & riverfront, and the nature trails. May 18-19, 2018

A winter adventure at Camp Decorah! A chilly theme for a chilly day, this event focuses on cold weather activities, winter sports, and fun in the snow! Bring your sled and mittens, this one is always a favorite. Hot chocolate and toe warmers recommended.

Webelos Pin Day fee is $16 with lunch provided. Online Registration is February 8th, 2018 (noon) at Green Bar HQ.Must purchase credits at the Scout Office before registering on Green Bar HQ.
