Support Our Council

Place to Give

Boy Scouts of America has a new way to give directly and securely through A Place To Give.  This is a place for anyone- Scouters, family members, friends, or supporters- to pledge their support to the Scouts of the Gateway Area Council, and the mission.

Become a “Friend of Scouting

The income of the Gateway Area Council, Boy Scouts of America comes from many different sources. The single largest source of income in providing Scouting’s character development program to over 6,000 youth right here in Southwest Wisconsin and Southeast Minnesota is the “Friends of Scouting” campaign.

Among other opportunities to contribute to the Council:

Endowments – Help with long term financial support

Friends of Scouting – Help cover the actual cost of Scouting for a year for a Scout

Golden Eagle Dinner – Late Winter Fundraising banquet featuring a top notch guest speaker.

Golfing for Scouting – 18 Hole scramble event with give aways, prizes, and a silent auction

Lawn Social – Annual event bringing major contributors together for an evening of fun.

Scrap-a-thon– During the first Saturday in June, 100% proceeds from all scrap metal brought in to the La Crosse County Landfill goes to Scouting!

Popcorn – This program involves the scouts and units within the council. Click for links and resources.

Plus, many corporations have matching fund raising grants.  For the investment of a little time (but no more dollars) on your part, the Council can receive yet more funds to support the growth of the youth in our area.
