Cub Scout Training

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) {4/20/13}

BALOO for Cub Scout leaders is a one-day training event that introduces participants to the skills needed to plan and conduct Pack outdoor activities, particularly pack camping. This training is required for any adult who is in charge of planning a pack campout, and it is required that at least one adult per pack complete BALOO training in order to apply for tour plans. BALOO can be offered by both Council and District training committees.

Outdoor Leader Skills for Webelos Leader (OLSWL) {5/17-19/13}

OWL is for all Webelos leaders. This training course covers the skills & resources needed to teach the outdoor activity badges and helps to provide good & safe outdoor experiences. Completion of this training is required before a Webelos den can go on a campout. OWL can be offered by both Council and District training committees.

Archery Flyer {6/1/13}

This is an intense 8 hours of training to become certified as a Basic Archery Instructor (BAI). During this class you will learn NASP safe range set up, determining eye dominance the 11 steps to archery success, running a safe range, plus much more. This class is designed to help make your NASP program more successful and safe for all involved.

Cub Scout BB gun Range-master {6/1/13}

This is an intense 3 hours of training to become certified as a Cub Scout BB gun Range-master. During this class you will learn BSA safe range set up, determining eye dominance , teaching basics of shooting, running a safe range plus much more. This class is designed to help make your BB gun shooting program more successful and safe for all involved.
