University of Scouting
Held once per year, in November, this full day allows training for all Leaders.
The Training Team of the Gateway Area Council presents this opportunity for supplemental training for all adult leaders. This used to be known as Pow Wow and Show-an-do, but is now known as the University of Scouting.
There will be courses for Tiger Den Leaders, Cub Scout Den Leaders, Webelos Den Leaders, Cubmasters and all your Assistant Scoutmasters, Committee Members of both Packs and Troops, and District Leaders and Members.

University of Commissioner Science
You have the opportunity to earn the Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees in Commissioner Science. A win-win opportunity – you gain knowledge and a degree. The units you represent gain an experienced, educated and positive “friend” in Scouting. ALL commissioners and prospective commissioners are urged to attend this training for the benefit of our Scouting Youth. It is typically offered in mid-January annually.

This training is open to all Council Commissioners, Assistant Council Commissioner, District Commissioners, Assistant District Commissioners, Unit Commissioners, Roundtable Commissioners, Roundtable Staff, Training Team, Service Team and “all” leaders interested in the delivery of “the program” to Tigers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Venturers.
